MEET DONOVAN
New Leadership Delivering Results for Our Community
Donovan Ryahd Hill, being the youngest ever elected, has served his first term as the City of McComb Selectman of Ward Four. Before being elected Hill graduated from McComb High School in 2009 gaining an athletic scholarship. While enjoying stopping offenses on 4th and goal, Hill earned his degree in Special Ed and Psychology. Giving his mother, Linda Hill, the honor of witnessing her first son to graduate from college and two weeks later taking his seat as City Selectman.
During this term Selectman Hill focused on organizing & engaging citizens, updating city ordinances, community education, allocating funds for recreation in improvised communities, and improving the infrastructure of the city and neglected neighborhoods. Hill, has only accomplished a few of the objectives he originally campaigned for due to the dynamics of board being split down racial lines. Nevertheless, Hill is seeking to continue uplifting McComb City by becoming the next Selectman-At-Large in the 2018 election. Hill has a beautiful daughter that he expects to be proud of her father's work. Selectman Hill is delighted for children to play at the restored Algiers Park and removing the Confederate Flag from the all city property.
